Who Is Spectrum College Coaching For?

Dani New Pic.jpg

Hello!

My name is Daniela Peterka-Benton, Ph.D. and I am a certified autism coach through the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity in Watertown, MA and mother of two amazing neurodivergent daughters. As a professor at a large, public university I regularly work with neurodivergent students and colleagues who experience unique challenges in this  environment.

Neurodivergent students frequently struggle with the transition from highly structured high-schools to the more flexible nature of college. They may have difficulty with planning, scheduling, and staying organized. Social interactions with professors, staff and other students can be challenging. And, the transition to independent living, taking care of daily needs, and managing homework and schedules can be a daunting task.

Neurodivergent academics can face similar challenges with social interaction, workload organization, and prioritization.
